Childhood Dreams

childhood

When I was younger,

I dreamt.

Not of dolls, or teaparties,

but of dragons and fairies.

Wistfully, my body has changed.

I grew and aged,

but the dreams of my childhood

never changed.

My old friends still talk to me

in the darkness of the night.

  1. Hi Connie 🙂 I wish they still talked to me. BTW, that picture is great it reminds me of my smallest daughter Willa. It has a good mystery feel to it. I too would be curious to see what is in those lit-up tree stumps.
