This question about dreams predicting the future has been on my mind all day. I guess it’s because I had two similar dreams this morning that pretty much scared the crap out of me. The first one happened after I got up at 3:00 am to get a glass of water. Going back to sleep, I suddenly slipped into a “fight for your life” dream in which a deluge of water was inundating this city and people were climbing up overpasses to escape the incoming water. I was trying to help these children climb up onto the sloping concrete, and just about the time I got the last one up, I heard this large crack, like the snapping of a land mass underwater. (In my dream I seemed to understand that is what the sound was.) It echoed so loudly that it woke me up. It was now 3:58 am.
Breathing heavily, I looked up at the ceiling. Kevin’s “Quack-Quack” alarm (yes it sounds like a duck) went off about 15 minutes later. As he was getting ready to leave I tried to convey the emotions and sounds of the dream, but I really couldn’t make him understand. Feeling like my words were just muddled in a sleepy haze, I went back to bed after he left, and that’s when I had the second dream. This time I was helping some neighbors (who I didn’t know) with the estate sale of their brother who was an ex-military man. As I was digging around in a tin box, I pulled out all these metals and patches that once belonged to him. Suddenly his ghost appeared and told me his name was Randall, and that he had a warning. He showed me a mirror and I could see land, like coastal land, and it was bubbling with large pools of water. Then the land began to break apart and a flood began. I turned to him and asked where this was taking place, because I’ve already had a dream about it? His words were diluted but I understood “Tipton or Tip of” and “Texas.”
That same cracking noise from the first dream happened in this one and woke me up with a start! I couldn’t shake the images and certainly the sound of the land cracking.
So I did a little research about fault lines in Texas, and to my horror, and I mean horror I found that there is fault lines which go through Texas, some of them down in Houston, which is kind of on the tip of Texas. I also found an article about small earthquakes in Cleburne, Texas a couple of years ago, 3 within 6 days. But to make it worse, my youngest daughter lives in Houston with her father. Should the tip of Texas go crashing into the sea so would she! That is not something I want to even consider. While this was just a series of dreams, it makes me pause to think. I never knew anything about the fault line in Texas before this. So how did my sub-conscience? It really makes me wonder, are dreams able to predict the future? Tell me some of your weird ones and if anything came true from them. Inquiring minds want to know.

I think we can tip in to any time through all time since time is our invention, not a reality of of our universe per se. The difficulty always is knowing where or when dream related visions are happening, as you are experiencing.

I definantly believe that your dreams let you tap into things that your ‘socially altered’ mind will not let you see in your waking hours… you should keep a dream diary and write in it the minute you wake up so you dreams don’t slip away in your awaken mind….

I hope not because I have 2 dreams where my best friend and her daughter died. He ex husband is very mentally unstable and a police officer. So unlimited access to a gun. Now some other dreams where I actually marry the love of my life yeah I hope that those come true. lmao

Normally whenever I have one of those dreams that come true experiences, I rationalize it away as deja vu or my brain remembering things wrong.
Except for this one time. I had a dream about a good friend of mine. It was an odd (not dangerous) circumstance and the next day I told her (and a group of friends) about it. They all agreed it was odd and that was it.
About a year later myself and my friend found ourselves in that odd circumstance. She was the first to bring it up. “Holy s***! Isn’t this that dream you told me about?” She was right, it was, down the last detail. Kind of freaky.

I know people who have certainly experienced dreaming about something before it happens. Most of the time, though, dreams are symbolic. Water tends to have to do with the unconscious. Dreams like this, at the very least, demand that you pay attention. If I’d dreamed it, I’d spend some time working through the images and associations and see if it was trying to tell me something on a more emotional/psychological level. Freaky!

When I was a teen I had some dreams that came true. Most were just mild scenes that happened to play out the next day or so. One i clearly remember was walking to answer the phone and listening to my mother tell me a family friend had died. The next day the exact same event happened. It freaked me out b/c it was so clearly a “deja vu”. I do believe the subconcious is somehow ahead of us. I cannot explain it, but I know my own experiences and do not doubt other people’s. Personally, I would probably take the fault line dream as a sign 🙂

After having 4 earthquakes in the past 3 days near my home in Parker County, TX, I decided to review maps of the faults in TX and ran across your page. I was reminded of a dream that I had several years ago involving Texas fault lines. This was a very vivid and detailed dream. I witnessed a massive earthquake that was centered in San Marcos, TX which followed a fault line that traversed Texas in a general NNE direction. (That’s the short version.) Upon waking, I was quite disturbed with what I had seen. I had never heard of fault lines in TX and did not know that they existed. I did some research and found that the exact fault line that I saw in my dream was the Balcones / Ouachita Fault. Whether or not this has any correlation with your dream, it is interesting none the less. I honestly hope it to be merely the product of an overactive mind and too much ice cream before bed and not a revelation of things to come.

Brian, I too eat ice cream before bed but this dream was so different from the rest. Out of all my posts, this one gets the most hits. I believe that those of us tuned into another place beyond this world are sensing it, and that’s what comes across in these dreams- a warning. Please come back and let me know if you have any others. So I recently had a friend tell me that since we live on a fault line we should have extra supplies on line because our stores only have 3 days worth of food and if the faults get triggered and the whole I35 corridor is destroyed, it will take some time to get us food. So I did some research and found this:

The graphic in the link above gives you an idea of the great number and complexity of the faults of the Edwards Aquifer. There’s so many faults it was staggering, not to mention that we are above a subterranean sea which is the Aquifer….finding your web and dream account didn’t exactly comfort anything….Yikes…I aways thought it was the San Andres fault in California we had to worry about! Not so. So, I’m taking some time to stock up supplies and getting closer to God. Peace out.
